A breath test must be administered according to Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) rules.

▪ The breath sample may only be taken after a police officer has observed you for 20 minutes.

▪ The samples must be taken within 15 minutes of each other.

▪ The samples must be close to one another (within .02 g/210L), or a third sample must be taken.

▪ The samples must be taken no more than four hours from the time of the traffic stop.
